Troubleshooting

The errors people actually hit, what each one means, and how to clear it.

The problems people actually hit, what each one means, and how to clear it. Nearly all of them come down to XLM reserves, trustlines or a stale page.

#A transaction failed and I have enough of both assets

Almost always the XLM reserve. Your account must keep a minimum balance of (2 + subentries) × 0.5 XLM, where each trustline, open offer and pool position is a subentry. XLM at or below that minimum cannot be spent, and adding anything new needs another 0.5 XLM on top.

Creating a pool is the usual trigger, because it adds subentries and needs its reserve in addition to what you are depositing. Free up XLM — sell a little of something else, or remove trustlines you no longer use — and try again. See Trustlines.

#Someone sent me a token and it is not in my wallet

You have no trustline for it, so it could not be credited directly. Stellar parked it as a claimable balance, which appears on your Wallet page. Add the trustline, then claim it.

Check the issuer before you do. Anyone can send you a claimable balance, including one using the ticker of an asset you recognise.

#I cannot buy an asset

Either you need a trustline for it — usually added automatically as part of the swap — or the account is short of XLM to reserve one. Both are covered above.

#My swap failed but the fee was taken

A failed transaction still costs the Stellar network fee, because the network did the work of processing it. That fee is a fraction of a cent and is paid to the network, not to LumosCore. No platform fee is charged on a swap that did not execute.

The common cause is the price moving past your slippage tolerance between building and submitting. Retry, or widen the tolerance slightly on a volatile pair.

#My cross-chain transfer is stuck

Work out which step it is on:

  • Burned, not yet attested. Circle's attestation normally takes a few minutes. Waiting is the only option — neither of us can speed it up.
  • Attested, not claimed. The claim is a transaction on the destination chain and you need that chain's gas token to pay for it.
  • Tab closed part way. The funds are not lost. Reopen Cross-chain with the same wallet connected and the pending transfer is listed so you can finish the claim.

Keep the burn transaction hash — there is a copy button for it. With that hash we can trace any transfer.

#My balance or a price looks wrong

Hard-refresh the page: Ctrl+Shift+R, or Cmd+Shift+R on a Mac. Browsers cache aggressively and a stale response is by far the most common explanation for a figure that does not match the ledger.

If it persists, check the same address on any Stellar explorer. The chain is the source of truth, and if the explorer agrees with us then the number is right.

#My wallet will not connect

  • Extensions (Freighter, xBull, Rabet) are desktop-only, and must be unlocked before they will respond.
  • On mobile, use LOBSTR. The connection hands off to the LOBSTR app, which is where you approve it.
  • Albedo opens a popup — a popup blocker will stop it silently.

#My asset is not showing as verified

Three usual causes: the stellar.toml is not reachable from another origin, the domain redirects somewhere other than the home domain set on the account, or the issuer in the file does not exactly match the issuing account. Results are also cached, so a correct fix is not visible instantly. See Asset verification.

#Still stuck

Write to us through Support. Include your public address and the transaction hash if there is one — both are already public, both are safe to share, and together they usually save a round trip.

Never send your seed phrase or private key

Support will never ask for either, and nobody legitimate ever needs them.
