Curated listing
Applying for a curated listing, what review covers, and the refund if it is declined.
A curated listing puts your asset into the set LumosCore surfaces by hand: in asset lists, in discovery, and with a description and logo we have actually looked at. It is reviewed by a person, not by a script.
#What it costs
$250, and it is refunded in full if the listing is declined — in the same asset you paid with. If you paid in XLM you are refunded in XLM; if you paid in LUMOS, in LUMOS.
In effect you pay only if you are listed
The fee covers review, and review costs us time whether the answer is yes or no. Refunding a decline anyway means nobody is out of pocket for asking, and we have no incentive to approve something we should not.
#Before you apply
Get these in place first. They are what review looks at, and having them ready is most of the work:
- Verification. The domain handshake should already resolve. This is the baseline, and it is free.
- Metadata. A stellar.toml with a real description and a usable logo.
- Liquidity. A pool with enough depth that someone can actually trade the asset without moving it double digits.
- Somewhere to look. A site, documentation, or a public record of what the project is and who is behind it.
#What review covers
Review establishes that the asset is what it claims to be and that a user landing on it is not being misled. In practice that means checking the issuer link, that the code is not an impersonation of an established asset, that the metadata is accurate, that liquidity exists, and that the project is findable outside our site.
It does not assess whether the asset is a good investment, and being listed is never a recommendation. We are checking identity and basic quality of presentation, not making a judgement about value.
#Applying
- Get verification resolving and your metadata published.
- Contact us through Support with the asset code, the issuing account address and a link to your project.
- We review and reply by email. If we need something changed, we say what.
- If it is approved, the listing goes live. If it is declined, the fee is returned in full.
#If you are declined
You get your money back and a reason. Most declines are fixable — a missing handshake, thin liquidity, a description that does not describe anything — and reapplying after fixing the cause is fine and expected.
A listing is not permanent
An asset that stops meeting the bar — the domain lapses, liquidity disappears, the metadata starts misrepresenting the project — can be removed. Curation describes the asset as it is, not as it was on the day it was reviewed.
