Trading fees are an important part of any trading experience. Whether you are making occasional swaps or trading regularly, platform fees can add up over time. For active traders especially, keeping costs low means more of your capital stays available for trading.
That is why LumosCore keeps its trading fees simple and competitive.
On LumosCore, swaps carry a 0.2% platform fee. And for users holding 250,000 LUMOS or more, the fee is reduced to just 0.1%.
Why Trading Fees Matter
Every trade comes with a cost. While a small percentage may not seem significant on a single transaction, frequent trading can make fees an important part of your overall trading costs.
For example, a 0.2% platform fee means a $1,000 trade has a $2 LumosCore platform fee. With the LUMOS discounted tier, the same trade at 0.1% would have a $1 platform fee.
Lower trading costs can be particularly useful for traders who make multiple swaps over time.
LumosCore is designed around this idea: make trading on Stellar simple, transparent, and cost-efficient.
Hold 250K LUMOS and Get 0.1% Fees
LumosCore also offers a lower fee tier for LUMOS holders.
If your wallet holds 250,000 LUMOS or more, your swap fee drops from 0.2% to 0.1%. In other words, the platform fee is reduced by half.
The best part is that there is no separate process to activate the discount.
You don't need to claim a reward, stake your LUMOS, or lock your tokens. When you connect your wallet, LumosCore reads your LUMOS balance from the ledger and applies the lower rate when you meet the 250,000 LUMOS threshold.
Your LUMOS Can Stay in a Liquidity Pool
LUMOS held inside a liquidity pool also counts toward the 250,000 LUMOS threshold.
This means providing liquidity does not automatically remove your eligibility for the discounted trading fee.
If your balance falls below 250,000 LUMOS, the rate returns to 0.2%. Once your balance reaches the threshold again, the 0.1% rate applies automatically.
There is nothing you need to manually enable or renew.
What About Network and Liquidity Fees?
It is also important to understand that not every cost associated with a transaction is a LumosCore platform fee.
The Stellar network fee is paid to the Stellar network, not LumosCore. LumosCore's documentation also notes that Stellar liquidity pools can charge their own pool fee when a trade routes through them, while trades routed through the order book do not incur that particular pool fee.
This distinction helps traders understand exactly what they are paying for.
For traders who value a simple interface, lower costs, and transparent on-chain transactions, LumosCore offers a trading experience built with those priorities in mind.
